ACS is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization committed to fighting cancer through balanced programs of research, education, patient service, advocacy and rehabilitation.
The site offers data and resources to help planners, program staff, and researchers design, implement and evaluate evidence-based cancer control programs, as well as a fact sheet on the five steps of comprehensive cancer control. The site is sponsored by six major health organizations.
Through its Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, CDC works with national cancer organizations, state health agencies, and other key groups to develop, implement, and promote effective strategies for preventing and controlling cancer.
As the nation’s foremost source for cancer information, the CIS provides the latest, most accurate information on cancer prevention, detection, treatment and supportive care.
