| TOBACCO CESSATION |

| Cooper/Clayton Method to Stop Smoking: This program consists of tobacco cessation classes for the public, trainings and resources for class facilitators, and periodic evaluations. |

| BREAST CANCER |
|
| Horses and Hope: In this joint initiative of KCP and the Office of the First Lady, the goals are to provide breast cancer awareness, education and screening to horse industry workers and their families through events held at thoroughbred racetracks in the state. |

| COLON CANCER |
|
| Targeted Colon Cancer Outreach Program: This statewide campaign includes education and outreach activities, such as Colon Cancer Awareness Month programs and Dress in Blue Day. |

| Faces of Colon Cancer: KCP developed a traveling exhibit featuring photos and accompanying quotes from nine Kentucky survivors. Since its kick-off at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center last year, the exhibit has been displayed in numerous communities in Central and Eastern Kentucky. | Cancer Prevention is Good Business: KCP developed and tested a toolkit to help Kentucky businesses develop a workplace program to raise employees awareness of colon cancer and encourage them to get screened. Contact your local KCP office for more information. |

| Providers Practice Prevention: This series includes self-study education modules for primary care providers on breast cancer screening and diagnosis, cervical cancer screening and diagnosis, and treating tobacco use and dependence. | Indian Summer Camp: KCP founded this free weeklong program of swimming, sing-alongs, arts and crafts and other fun activities for children who have or have had cancer. The camp offers the opportunity to grow, learn, and build self reliance. KCP founded the camp in 1981 and KCP Cancer Control Specialist Amy Steinkuhl currently serves as director.
